Since its founding in 1878, the Arkansas Alumni Association has stayed true to its mission—”to connect and serve the University of Arkansas family.” As new alumni form each year, it is the goal of the Association to maintain contact with those who wish to remain close to the university and show their support through donations, volunteerism, membership and chapter involvement.

A Wild Semester Wrap-up

First, our hearts go out to our colleagues at the University of Alabama, our alumni in the Southeast and all individuals who have been in the path of the recent severe weather this spring. In today’s technologically equipped world, we have seen many firsthand accounts of encountering the storms and especially the aftermath they leave. From our own state, we have witnessed damage and praised escape. Even “The Hill” was not safe from these storms as we witnessed never seen before flooding in Fayetteville and around Northwest Arkansas.

Arkansas Alumni Association Joins GreeNWAy Initiative

The Arkansas Alumni Association proudly became certified as a member of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce’s GreeNWAy Initiative during a ribbon cutting at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House on July 13, 2010. The Alumni Association is the first University of Arkansas-affiliated organization to complete the certification process.
