William Hanson credits his education at the University of Arkansas for giving him a foundation for a successful career. He specifically points out his professors and the curriculum in the Sam M. Walton College of Business.

He says the curriculum laid forth has allowed him to take a dive deep into the theories and concepts that underlie the corporate world. His professors have supplemented this academic education with real life and personal business examples and knowledge. The combination of these two aspects has allowed him to gain an invaluable understanding of today’s business world. Within Walton College, he has proudly served on the Dean’s Student Advisory Board and as a Freshman Business Connections Peer Mentor.

In addition to his education, the University has given him numerous opportunities to further develop himself. One of those opportunities includes being a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, where he held several leadership roles, such as serving as president. Having this experience allowed him to mature as a leader and as a young professional to prepare him for the workforce. He has also volunteered at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter, with Adopt-A-Highway and at the Fayetteville Boys & Girls Club.

The University has also given him ample opportunities to network with businesses across the globe to search for potential employers. As a result of these networking opportunities, he was offered and accepted a full-time position to work for ISN Software Corporation in Dallas, Texas.
