The Arkansas Alumni Association offers several career-related events for students throughout the year.

The Alumni Engagement Committee of the Arkansas Alumni Association’s National Board of Directors, in collaboration with AAA Career Hogs, will present Campus to Career, a professional development workshop for students, from noon-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House.

The alumni-led event will kick off with a brown-bag lunch discussion by Susan Screeton of Fidelity Investments, followed by various workshops, an alumni professionals panel discussion and Q & A, concluding with a reception and professional etiquette dinner, presented by Chris Case of the Mitchell Communications Group.

Students may register for all or part of the workshop components, designed to assist in strengthening interview skills, developing a personal brand, networking and etiquette strategies, and tips on crafting a captivating resume. Drawings will be made for door prizes following the various events including an iPad mini, Androids and a special prize from Kaplan.

For students participating in the Campus to Career event, Kaplan will award one test-prep scholarship which can be used on a variety of their on-site, anywhere or on-demand courses. To be eligible for the Kaplan scholarship, you must submit an application by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 and be available to attend the Campus to Career reception and etiquette dinner from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30.
