The Student Alumni Association has a group of dedicated students who serve as the executive board for the SAA. Each vice president has a different set of tasks and goals that they strive to fulfill throughout the academic year. One of these positions focuses all on the University of Arkansas Senior Experience.
This year, Tori Faulkner serves on the board as the vice president of senior experience. “As seniors graduate, I wanted to be there to link them with the Alumni Association and to be able to keep them involved in what’s happening on campus post graduation,” Faulkner said.
This fall, graduating seniors can look forward to the Fall Ring Ceremony, which includes the presentation of the senior class rings to the graduates in the presence of their friends and families. “Throughout the year, there are different opportunities to sign up for the free one-year membership that each graduating senior receives as their free gift from the Alumni Association. If the senior signs up during their graduation regalia pickup at the bookstore, they will get a free University of Arkansas Alumni t-shirt,” she said.
Being a senior is a very exciting time in your journey at the University of Arkansas, and the Student Alumni Association works hard to make sure each graduate has the opportunity to stay connected and engaged to the university. “Being the vice president of senior experience is something that I will always remember and cherish as one of my favorite memories at the University of Arkansas. Not only do I get to help my fellow students learn how to get better connected, I am able to give back to the university that I love so much,” Faulkner said.
