Woo Pig Sooie! My name is Ryan Miller and I am the new Assistant Director for Student and Young Alumni Programs at the Arkansas Alumni Association. A couple of quick facts so you can get to know me – all involving the number three. I am a 3rd generation Razorback. I’ve grown up calling the Hogs. Next, I have three degrees from the U of A. I’ve always been inspired by seeing my family’s names on Senior Walk, and now mine is on there as well. A little fact they don’t tell you – for every degree, your name goes on again! Finally, for the past three years I’ve been working in the Sam M. Walton College of Business. It has been great to be on campus and see how I can help the association grow.
Through this role, I’m excited to be overseeing the Student Alumni Association and Student Alumni Board. As a student, I was member and served as vice president of the organization, so I know how much of an impact we can have. I truly hope to focus on “Tradition” and working to promote and instill the traditions of the University in every student. Also, I hope to move the organization in such a way that we can connect all students – past, present and future – to the U of A, and to each other. We are a Razorback Family after all! I have several ideas about how we can achieve these goals and it has been excellent getting to know the current members of the Student Alumni Board. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like more information about hot to get involved or have some creative ideas of your own. I look forward to working with the members of the Student Alumni Association and Go Hogs!
