As you can see, the communications staff at the Arkansas Alumni Association has been hard at work redesigning the @Arkansas newsletter that is sent monthly as a member benefit. We believe we have added some important changes and new features that alumni will find useful.
First, we have changed the issue date to the 15th of each month. This timing will allow us to “fill the gaps” between Arkansas magazines.
Second, the newsletter is designed to be personal and meet your needs. Reflecting the association’s reorganization, its content will concentrate on one of five geographic regions – on campus, Northwest Arkansas, Greater Arkansas, out-of-state and international. So, as long as you keep us updated on your whereabouts, your content will be personalized to your location.
Each issue will contain multiple sections including:
The Executive Angle: A message from the leaders of the University of Arkansas campus including the chancellor, student leaders, myself and others.
Alumni Profile: A spotlight on alumni and their achievements.
Association, University and Athletic News: Stay up-to-date on important news and updates about the association and our activities to serve you, the campus and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Benefit of the Month: Highlighting one of your association benefits.
Membership Feature: Updates on the Drive for 35 to reach 35,000 members.
Games & Contests: Join in the fun and stay involved with trivia, polls, surveys and other ways for you to win.
Finally, we are seeking your input. We want to know what you would like to see in the next issue of @Arkansas. What information is important to you? What can we add to the newsletter to make it more valuable to you? What have we missed? More important, what can the association do for you?
The upgrades are appreciated. I do wonder though, why the site colors are maroon and black. The official UA colors are cardinal red (PMS 200 evidently) and white. Any chance of correcting this? Thanks.
Thanks for the comment. Our brand guide online might help clear up your concerns. http://www.arkansasalumni.org/brand/
