I personally really enjoyed the PIGnic because it gave me the opportunity to meet alumni and new students, which made the transition to college easier and less nerve-wracking since I now knew a few familiar faces. This alumni event made me so excited for the next four years I would be spending in Fayetteville because it showed me that being a part of the University of Arkansas doesn’t end with graduation. I became so hopeful knowing that I would find a family here on the hill that would stand by me and support me for many, many years to come. It was so inspiring to meet so many active alumni because it goes to show the wonderful positive impact that the University of Arkansas has had on their lives, and I can only hope the U of A has the same impact on me. Also, having the Chancellor attend the PIGnic truly reflected how much the University cared about the community they were cultivating with new students and alumni alike.
