State Farm has named Cedric Williams to replace newly retired long-time agent, Al Miller, in Forrest City. The appointment was effective February 1.
Williams, who has a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from the University of Arkansas ’93, is in his 18th year with State Farm. He has worked in auto, fire and storm claims, and has spent the last two years in Little Rock, working as an agency field specialist. In that role, he assisted agents across central Arkansas in company sales and technical training.
He is married to Brandye, and the couple have two daughters, Tyra (15yrs) and Sydni (9yrs).
About moving to Forrest City, Williams said, “We are extremely excited to continue the legacy of quality service created by Al and Alice Miller in this community. I feel honored to be a new agent here in Forrest City.”
The Williams office will be at the same address used by Miller—1022 N. Washington in Forrest City. The same phone number 870-633-3969 was retained as well. Williams says Miller’s long-time employees Meredith Borden, Kristen Bradshaw and Jennifer Pufahl will continue as members of his staff, along with new members April McKisick and Jerome Mitchell.
Williams holds several insurance education designations, including that of Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter. He advises that he looks forward to becoming involved in church and community activities in Forrest City.
State Farm is the largest writer of homes and autos in Arkansas, and in the nation.
