The Arkansas Alumni Association will co-sponsor the 2nd Annual Hogs Care Week from February 24 to March 1, 2014. Last year, we engaged more than 1,100 people in service and “random kindness” across the world! Razorbacks cleaned up parks, rebuilt nature trails, read to elementary school classrooms, sent much-needed school supplies to children in the Arkansas Delta, and even dug a freshwater well for a needy family in the jungles of Vietnam! That’s the spirit of Hogs Care Week – the act of showcasing the genuine kindness and servant spirit of Arkansas alumni… no matter where you live! Participating in Hogs Care Week could mean serving in your local community, or simply buying a cup of coffee or donut for the person behind you in line at the café. Most importantly, we want YOU to help “share the care” when you participate in Hogs Care Week by sharing your stories, pictures and videos via social media using the hashtag #HogsCare. Hogs Care Week is a central piece of our Helping like a Hog program here at the Arkansas Alumni Association. Started in 2011, the Helping like a Hog program is designed to provide resources, planning and communications support to local alumni groups around the globe who are looking to do good things in their communities.
