Paul Davis joined Tyson Foods in 2007 as vice president of sales operations. Since 2008 he has led the Global Wal-Mart Team. Davis has been instrumental in working with the University of Arkansas, Black Alumni Society, Student Alumni Association and the BAS scholars in providing sponsorship support as well as protein to ensure students and alumni meet their campus and community obligations.
Prior to joining Tyson Foods, Davis was in sales for Procter & Gamble, The Gillett Company, Johnson & Johnson and Monsanto Company – Agrichemicals.
He received his Master of Christian Education for Ashland Theological Seminary and his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas.
He and his wife, Janice, live in Northwest Arkansas. They have three adult children: Joy, Kendrick and Vanessa, and two grandchildren: Kennedy-Kristina and Katelynn-Kantel.
Davis truly symbolizes the characteristics for this award. Although he is not a graduate of the U of A, he goes above and beyond to make sure students, alumni and the NWA communities receive corporate support for their endeavors in making a difference for world hunger.
