Nikki Daniels says the prestigious Honors College and the elite Swimming and Diving program attracted her to the University of Arkansas, but she will leave with much more. As she completes her undergraduate degree, she is also taking classes as part of the accelerated Master of Business Administration program in the Sam M. Walton College of Business with a focus on entrepreneurship.
Through this graduate program, Nikki will also study abroad in India in May. She hopes to use the entrepreneurship and professional knowledge that she gains during the next 18 months to help her father start the business that he has dreamed about for two decades now.
During college she has also learned what it takes to plan, advise, decide and direct people to action through the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, serving as treasurer of Roots and Shoots (Jane Goodall’s Environmental Organization) and helping with campus blood drives. Through her volunteer efforts with the elderly, animals, veterans and children of Fayetteville, she has been exposed to many people who are in situations that make her grateful for the opportunities she has received.
In addition, she participated in the Razorback Leadership Academy, supported by the U of A Athletic Department, which taught her about motivating people. This translated into her chance to be captain of the swim team.
