Cameron C. McCree (JD ’07, BA ’02) recently accepted an appointment to serve as an assistant United States attorney for the eastern district of Arkansas. In his role as an AUSA, McCree will work with federal agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Secret Service and the Internal Revenue Service to investigate and prosecute alleged violations of federal criminal law. McCree will also serve as the asset forfeiture coordinator for the eastern district. McCree’s area of responsibility encompasses a significant portion of Arkansas including Pulaski, Independence, Jefferson, St. Francis and Craighead counties.
Prior to his employment at the United States Attorney’s office, McCree worked in civil litigation at the law firm of Quattlebaum, Grooms, Tull & Burrow PLLC where his practice focused on employment discrimination litigation, contract and commercial disputes, and other business-related matters. Previously, McCree worked as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the eighth circuit.
