The Arkansas Alumni Association is looking for graduating seniors who have demonstrated leadership, academic excellence and significant campus or community involvement to be awarded with the Senior Honor Citation.
Awardees are recognized with a $500 cash prize and a Life Membership in the Arkansas Alumni Association.
The Senior Honor Citation was established in 1965 to honor the top undergraduate man and woman. For nearly 50 years, two students have received the annual award— adding to the list of outstanding students at the University of Arkansas.
“It’s just amazing to see what these students have accomplished during their academic careers and what they aspire to do,” said Debbie Blume, Director of Administration for the Arkansas Alumni Association.
Recipients are asked to speak at a Student Leadership luncheon with the Arkansas Alumni Association board of directors and reflect on their accomplishments at the University of Arkansas.
“Every year, guests who attend the luncheon are always so impressed with our students,” Blume said.
The deadline to apply is March 25.
Applicants must be Class of 2013 undergraduate students who graduated in August or December 2012, or will be graduating in May 2013. To apply, submit a one-page cover letter and resume before the deadline.
Application material requirements and submission directions can be found on the Arkansas Alumni Association’s Senior Honor Citation page.
Nearly 100 Arkansas Alumni have been honored with the Senior Honor Citation. Aspire to join them and become a legacy.
