Hello BAS,
It’s Fall; a season of change, and it was time to try something new! We did this by partnering with the University of Arkansas Office for Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of the Chancellor, Enrollment Services, Sam M. Walton College of Business Office of Diversity and Inclusion, University of Arkansas New Student & Family Programs, and Razorback Athletics Spirit Programs to Connect, Engage and Inspire!
Working with the U of A units gave BAS an opportunity to take our outreach to another level by hosting college readiness events at six schools and two churches in the DFW area! The well planned, organized, and informative college readiness seminars allowed us to touch over 400 high school students! Thank you Dr. Yvette Murphy-Erby and the U of A units. It was a pleasure collaborating with you and we are looking forward to more partnerships!
The Friday night Mix and Mingle at Santiago was, as we used to say, “off the chain”! BAS came out in full force and it was a wonderful opportunity to meet Chancellor and First Lady Steinmetz, connect with old friends and, of course, Call the Hogs! It was great seeing all of you in Dallas and thank you for supporting BAS and the Southwest Classic! Thank you to the university support staff and special thanks to our Volunteer of the Year, Oliver Sims, III for being our Dallas point of contact and working to make the entire Southwest Classic Weekend a success!
We are headed to The Hill! Its Homecoming weekend and in addition to awards events, tailgating and Pep Rallies, it’s time for the Fall BAS General Meeting! Join us Friday, November 1, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
