On behalf of the University of Arkansas students, faculty and staff, the Student Alumni Association wishes to welcome all new and returning students to the Hill! The official University of Arkansas New Student Orientation sessions will be held June 10 – 28, 2013 and we want to help your student get his or her college experience off to a great start! The Student Alumni Association (SAA) will be tabling all throughout the summer orientation sessions, so please stop by our table and see what the largest Registered Student Organization on campus has to offer!
The Student Alumni Association is a student membership program established by the Arkansas Alumni Association. Created by students in 2003, this award-winning student membership program is designed to inspire loyalty, preserve University of Arkansas traditions and encourage positive relations between the university’s students and alumni. In addition to scholarship, professional development and volunteer opportunities, students who are members of the Student Alumni Association also receive benefits with local and online merchants including the University Bookstore & Razorback Shop where they receive a 5% discount on textbooks and 10% off Razorback merchandise.
SAA is a great place for students to learn or enhance organizational, professional and personal skills that will prepare them for after graduation. The SAA is looking for members that have an interest in or skills in event planning, volunteerism, public relations and marketing for the Arkansas Alumni Association (a non-profit organization). Volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the year for different projects, programs and events.
