T.A. and Vivian Walton give as a way of remembering where they have risen and as a constant reminder of what the university has done for them. When Mr. Walton was attending the university, he stumbled on some hardships as most students do. The university provided him with $500 that helped him stay in school. Mr. Walton says that he paid the school back as soon as he graduated. To this day, he is still paying them back for that $500 investment. Mr. and Mrs. Walton have established a scholarship that will afford future students the same opportunity without the obligation of having to pay him back. When asked about his scholarship, he replied that he does not make it strict. If a student needs and asks for a scholarship, he gives them the scholarship! He gives as a continuous way of saying thank you to the University of Arkansas.
Great Job Waltons. You are a very blessed family.
Thank you so much to the Waltons, as someone who has received their help first hand, I personally know their commitment to help others succeed. Thank you to them always!
