Eánthe Pieterse, Walton College student and alumni scholar, won second place in the Walton College Business Sales team competition alongside Kaylee Blackwood. They were tasked with acting as sales professionals and introducing themselves, uncovering their client’s needs, presenting solutions to meet the needs, overcoming any objections, and asking for the business’s approval. They were sponsored by Sanofi Consumer Healthcare and the IcyHot and Aspercreme topical pain reliever brands were featured in the case study. Pieterse’s team was one of six teams chosen out of the 145 students to move on to the finals.
Pieterse said, “A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to compete in the University of Arkansas – Sam M. Walton College of Business Sales competition. In this competition, contestants were tasked with developing a full omnichannel proposal for Sanofi at Walmart to drive category growth. My teammate and I presented our comprehensive plan to Walmart buyers and judges and were awarded 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗 place in the overall competition of 50+ teams. Our ranking is a testament to our meticulous planning, market insight, and cross channel coordination that underpinned our approach.”
