I chose the U of A because of the reputation of the Walton College paired with an unbeatable campus atmosphere.
My fondest memory is pretty much any football Saturday in the fall. But by far would be the night before the Alabama game my junior year. With students camped out from the stadium to Bud Walton, the basketball and football team bringing food to thank the students for their support, and multiple Hog Calls and Fight Song cheers; it was a great night to get ready for the game the next day.
The most influential figure would be Professor Matt Waller of the Supply Chain Department.
My favorite tradition is Calling the Hogs and the Senior Walk.
Opportunities I received while at the University included an internship at JB Hunt while in school and it was a huge help in getting my current position.
I am an Alumni Member because the AAA is a great way to network in the DFW area and have a constant connection back to Fayetteville and the University.
My favorite Alumni event is our Dallas Arkansas Young Professional watch parties. I really enjoy them!
My favorite Razorback possession is an old poster that my dad had hanging in his dorm room when he was on campus.
Now in Texas, I have been a supply planner for Texas Instruments for just over a year now and I love the schedule flexibility that I have. TI is a great employer and very employee friendly.
I encourage you to give back. You can’t forget where you came from and who helped you become who you are. If you give back to the University, it can add more worth to your degree and in turn, continue to help you on your professional path.
