The following is a guest post by Dr. Paul Adams, Assistant Professor, at the University of Arkansas and Advisor for the Gamma Eta Chapter.

The Gamma Eta Chapter and the Upsilon Chi Chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. recently celebrated Omega Psi Phi Achievement Week. Willyerd Collier was the keynote speaker.

During the ceremony, several awards were given for Citizen of the Year, Omega Man of the Year, and the Founder’s Award. The highlight of the program was Upsilon Chi and Gamma Eta Chapters acknowledging Bro. Dr. Gordon Morgan as the “Original Bridge Builder.”  Dr. Gordon was the principal factor in bringing the Gamma Eta Undergraduate Chapter to the University of Arkansas, in 1974, and the Upsilon Chi Graduate Chapter, in 1988, of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. to the Northwest Arkansas Community.
