facilities_management_lunchThe smell of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings filled the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House on July 16, 2009, as University of Arkansas Facilities Management staff enjoyed a barbecue lunch with Arkansas Alumni staff. It is our way of saying thank you for all the hard work they do in keeping the Alumni House in top-notch shape for our alumni & friends who come to visit.

Although you will not see them at the front of the room to speak or greeting you upon arrival they are always Workin’ Like a Hog to keep our buildings and campus in pristine conditions. When something is broken or needs to be replaced at the Alumni House, they are always there and Rick Langham is the first to get a call.

“I appreciate the luncheon, and my guys do. It’s great each year when we do this, and we appreciate everyone who works at Alumni,” said Langham, supervisor of Zone B, which includes the Alumni House.

The Facilities Management Appreciation Luncheon gives the Alumni Association staff the opportunity to get to know those who keep the Alumni House clean, repaired and maintained throughout the year. They also keep the air conditioning running during these hot summer months and the heat going during our cold winters.

Many of the workers who attended said they come to the lunch every year and really look forward to it. The staff members at the Arkansas Alumni Association thank everyone at Facilities Management for all they do.
