saa_dead_dayIt’s an exciting time for the Student Alumni Association as school starts back on Aug. 26. For the upcoming 2013-2014 school year, the Student Alumni Association is striving for expansion and new student programming to engage our members. We have recently expanded the Student Alumni Board in which we have created co-chairs for each position and created more committees to increase membership involvement. Another relationship we are working closely with is Arkansas athletics as a way to give students priority and further involvement with our athletic program. Now that’s exciting!

Also, SAB members are currently in the process of planning our upcoming homecoming events as well as increasing our goals for our philanthropic contributions towards the American Red Cross, The Food Pantry, March of Dimes and more! Last year’s efforts were stellar and we hope that we can exceed these goals by getting U of A students excited and ready to participate in this year’s Homecoming festivities!

Another way our organization is collaborating is by working on a relationship with Young Alumni Board to provide more connections for our members and preparation for after graduation.

It is important for the upcoming freshman class as well as current University of Arkansas students to join the Student Alumni Association for opportunities for leadership roles as well as further involvement on campus. The Student Alumni Association offers professional experience and resume building opportunities that is extremely beneficial to your college career. As the largest student organization on campus, we can relate opportunities to student’s individual majors, minors and existing campus activities to create a beneficial volunteer experience. With SAA membership, you receive benefits such as discounts on books, Razorback gear, volunteer opportunities and more! It’s an exciting time to be a student at the University of Arkansas. Know a student? Encourage them to join SAA today!
