Rob Casey Honored With Morris Fair Heart Award

Rob Casey of the Atlanta Chapter was surprised to hear his name called as the recipient of the 2009 Morris Fair Heart Award during the Arkansas Alumni Association’s Volunteer Summit award reception, but those who know him weren’t surprised at all. Casey has been described as “a …consummate ambassador – always willing to promote, defend and support the University.”

Maryland Chapter Receives 2009 Board Cup

Although it’s one of the smaller chapters, the Maryland Chapter accomplished some big goals in 2008. For their hard work, the chapter was presented the 2009 Board Cup during the Arkansas Alumni Association’s Volunteer Summit on the University of Arkansas campus on Sept. 18-19. The Board Cup was created in 1997 to recognize excellence in programming and engagement within chapter areas for a calendar year.

This year the 2009 Volunteer Summit: Racing to Win started well before the pace car took to the track. With an early start, exciting and thunder-packed meetings and opportunities for volunteers representing Young Alumni Board, chapters, societies, Student Alumni Board and the national board of directors from all around the United States, it was truly a sight to see.
