Spotlight on Gerald Jordan B.A. ’70, Life Member, A+

Associate Professor Gerald Jordan graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1970 with a degree in journalism and earned his master’s degree in journalism at Northwestern University in 1971. He then worked 25 years for metropolitan daily newspapers before joining the faculty of the Lemke Department of Journalism in 1995, although he continued to work summers as an editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer for the next 15 years.

Kelly S. Westeen Ph.D. ’20 is director of University Perspectives and college learning for the Student Success Center. She was named the 2021 NWA Big of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas at its annual gala, The Big Event. Above all, being a member of the Razorback family means being a part of the best category a person could claim. It means that when you’re halfway across the world studying abroad, you meet up with fellow Hogs because they can make you feel like you’re home when you’re homesick. Evan Fusco Learned to Appreciate the 'Wider World' at the University of Arkansas

While many children dream of becoming astronauts and president of the United States, Evan Fusco knew from the age of 10 that he wanted to practice medicine and become a doctor. Now, working as an emergency room physician at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, MO, Fusco, who is a life member of the Arkansas Alumni Association, reflects on his time at the University of Arkansas and appreciates the experiences and people who helped to guide him at the beginning of his medical journey.
