Many alumni and friends have either been affected or know someone affected by the devastation and destruction left behind by Hurricane Sandy. As Sandy traveled up the East Coast, it left millions without electricity, destroyed numerous homes and worst of all, killed more than 100 people.

As the residents of the hardest-hit areas in New York and New Jersey begin to recover and rebuild, the Arkansas Alumni Association encourages the network of more than 130,000 alumni around the world to help their fellow Razorbacks. More than 700 University of Arkansas alumni households are in the affected areas.
