For nearly 30 years, the generosity of the Charles Thomas and Mary Alice Pearson Educational Foundation has provided scholarships for more than 100 students at the University of Arkansas School of Law and continues to be instrumental in the school’s growth and success.
Mills Bryant J.D.’24, a two-time Pearson Fellow, is an associate attorney at Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard PLLC. Reflecting on the honor, he said, “The fellowship not only eased the financial burden of law school, but it also affirmed my decision to pursue a legal career in service to others.”
Lindsay Mast J.D.’25, whose interest is in innocence work among incarcerated individuals, said she was “positively overjoyed to receive this honor and financial support” for her legal studies at the School of Law, adding that receiving this honor lightened her financial burden as a mother of four school-aged children with limited time to work while she was enrolled as a full-time student.
A two-time Pearson Fellow, Erron Smith B.A.’99, J.D.’02 serves as corporate secretary, associate general counsel and chief of staff at Walton Enterprise.
