I chose the U of A because my mom made me tour campus and the minute I left, I knew that it was going to be my new home! It’s hard to explain but between the people I met on my visit and the beauty of the campus, I knew it was the place for me!

My fondest memory revolves around the fact I’m a huge Hog fan, so it goes without saying, all the big games of course! The win over Tennessee and carrying the goal posts to Dickson Street is definitely up there among the top. I was lucky enough to travel to every bowl game when I was in college so win or lose, those road trips with my friends were great memories as well.

The most influential figure while in school was my advisor during freshman year.  She was such a warm, welcoming person! She was also one of my accounting professors and I absolutely loved her class. Anytime from then on out, I always knew I had someone to talk to and that she was there for me.

My favorite tradition is Senior Walk! I absolutely adore the fact that I will always be part of the University and that my name is etched along the sidewalks.

In regards to opportunities I received while at the University, I have to think back on the dreaded group presentations! I was so shy in high school and you get over it really quickly in the Walton College. All of those presentations definitely helped me get to where I am today.

I am an Alumni Member because being away from home, I wanted to be able to connect with the group that I know is as passionate about the U of A as I am. I’ve gained some lifelong friends through the Association!

I am involved; I currently sit on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Chapter as Recruitment Director and work with the chapter closely in regards to recruitment efforts locally here in Dallas. I love being able to attend events and meet new Razorbacks across the metroplex.

I give back because the U of A has given me so much; it’s only fair to give back. I love representing my alma mater in the state of Texas!

My favorite Alumni event is our student send-off reception “Head to the Hill!”  It’s so fun to connect with all the local high school students that are going to be Razorbacks.

My favorite National Alumni event is Tailgates on campus! WPS!

My favorite Razorback possession is my specialized Razorback Texas license plate on my car! I love that I’m always presenting the Hogs no matter where I go.

Now in Texas, I am currently the Associate Director for Out-of-State Recruitment at the University of Arkansas and live here in Dallas. I oversee all of our out-of-state recruitment efforts as well as work with our other regional recruiters located nationwide. I was offered a recruiter position straight out of college and have worked my way up the ranks so to speak. I’m going into my 10th year of recruiting future Razorbacks! My favorite part is being able to work with students from coast-to-coast and share with them my experiences and what all we have to offer at the You of A!

I encourage you to get connected.  Wherever you end up after graduation, connect with your local association. We have great folks all over the nation. I’m lucky enough to get to travel and meet other groups all the way from NYC to LA and we all have one thing in common: our love for the University!
