Why are you getting this newsletter?  (continued)

Even though you aren’t a dues-paying member, you are a part of the University of Arkansas family!

The Arkansas Alumni Association is about more than ‘joining’ — but that’s all thanks to our members who support our programs and communications that connect the entire University of Arkansas family. What you may not know is that the Arkansas Alumni Association is unique because, since its founding in 1961, membership has been open to anyone who wants to join.

Membership is our lifeblood. Our members enjoy a monthly e-newsletter, ARKANSAS magazine, more than 50 member perks, exclusive access to special events, and are plugged-in to the latest news and information surrounding the University. Even more true is that we have always seen our purpose as connecting alumni and friends to each other and to the YOU of A. That’s why we refer to our alumni, members, donors, friends and parents as ‘family’.

fam.i.ly noun

: a group of people who are related to each other

: a group of related people including people who lived in the past

: a group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation

We hear it all the time:

“My wife graduated from another school, but she is a Razorback through and through. She comes to every watch party with me” or “I’ve never taken a class at the U of A, but there’s no other school I’d rather support or claim as my University.”

Many of our volunteers and network leaders are not graduates but have YOU of A pride in their heart because they have experienced the energy surrounding the University of Arkansas. It has always been a given, that anyone is welcome to our events, societies, chapters and other programs, but we will do whatever it takes to let you know that we are your home on the hill.

  • We are your connection to the U of A community and campus.

We are here to serve you in your efforts to advance the University of Arkansas, whether it’s recruiting a student you believe in, educating your social-circle about all of the outstanding academic achievements of the University’s students, faculty and staff, or teaching your nephew how to ‘Call the Hogs’.

  • We want to help you share those moments, rekindle lost relationships, have a place to get involved, give back and make a difference.

Most of all, as someone who has a kinship to the University of Arkansas, we want you to have awareness and take pride in all of the positive things happening at our beloved University!

Enjoy!
