Habitotes, a Northwest Arkansas-based company that makes durable, reusable totes from recycled water bottles, will give out 50,000 Razorback-themed totes to Hog fans attending the Arkansas-Ole Miss football game on Oct. 23 at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
The Arkansas Alumni Association is pleased to announce an exciting effort to allow Razorback fans to show their team spirit while practicing sustainability. The Hog Wild habitote® will debut at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium where 50,000 totes will be handed out free to Hog fans prior to the Arkansas vs. Ole Miss game on Saturday, October 23, 2010.
The Arkansas Alumni Association proudly became certified as a member of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce’s GreeNWAy Initiative during a ribbon cutting at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House on July 13, 2010. The Alumni Association is the first University of Arkansas-affiliated organization to complete the certification process.
The University of Arkansas recycled 1,380 tons of materials last year, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 500 tons. This video, produced by the UA Global Campus as entry into an EPA-sponsored competition, highlights the campus’ recycling efforts.
