Four University of Arkansas groups are uniting through the "Hogs to Heroes" program to send care packages to 30 soldiers from the Arkansas National Guard 1039th Engineer Company.

Caitlin Lamb, a junior from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, served this past fall as the Director of Traditions for the Student Alumni Board and is the incoming Director of Operations for the 2012- 2013 academic year.

The ring ceremony held by the Arkansas Alumni Association on April 12th was the largest to date. With that being said, let's note that there were only about 165 people in attendance, which seems like a relatively small percentage when compared to the couple of thousand students graduating this year. So what is it that is holding students back from participating in this tradition?
