Understanding the pressures of paying for college, Jacob Davies is thankful to have received the 2011 Razorback Generations Scholarship from the Arkansas Alumni Association. Growing up in Springdale, Davies has been surrounded by the University of Arkansas culture and the Razorback pride.
The St. Louis Chapter has chosen to award Sarah Bradley, of Chesterfield, MO, with a $500 scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year. Proving to be a leader in high school, Bradley devoted her time to making good grades, cheerleading and maintaining leadership roles throughout various student organizations.
Caitlyn Berry, of Olathe, KS, is the latest recipient of the 2011 Board of Directors Scholarship, which was awarded by the Arkansas Alumni Association. As a student leader and dedicated student, Berry knew she wanted to attend a college that would not only provide her with a unique atmosphere, but would allow her to work towards a degree that would ultimately provide her with the necessary tools to help others.
Taryn Haney has been chosen by the Arkansas Alumni Association to receive the 2011 Board of Directors Scholarship. At her high school in Allen, TX, she took on many leadership roles and believes it is due to her “can do” and “may I help you” attitude, she said.

Wishing to lessen the financial burden that college often presents, Tanmaya Kumar appreciates the 2011 Membership Scholarship that has been awarded to him by the Arkansas Alumni Association. As an international student from India, Kumar arrived at the University of Arkansas in 2008.
The Arkansas Alumni Association has chosen to award Heather Wilkerson, of Fayetteville, with the 2011 Membership Scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year. For five years, Wilkerson operated her own business, one which she began when she was 18 years old.
Roger Valdez is the latest recipient to receive the 2011 Membership Scholarship from the Arkansas Alumni Association. A resident of Farmington, Valdez took his college search very seriously while in high school. Receiving a presidential scholarship to Northwest Arkansas Community College, he went on to achieve an associate’s degree before transferring to the University of Arkansas.
The Arkansas Alumni Association has chosen Mary Young to receive the 2011 Membership Scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year. Moving to Arkansas 11 years ago, from southern Texas, Young wasn’t sure as to where she wanted to attend college.
