The Arkansas Alumni Association has chosen M’Kenzie Wilson, of Little Rock, to receive the 2011-2012 “Roads” Scholarship. Attending the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts, Wilson has always made academics a top priority in her life, saying of her school, “It has been one of the most beneficial experiences on an academic level.”
Andrew Power has been selected by the Arkansas Alumni Association to receive the 2011 “Roads” Scholarship. A resident of Springdale, Power has proved to be a significant leader in many of his high schools’ student organizations.
Ann Carol Farmer, of Monticello, is a recipient of the Arkansas Alumni Association’s 2011 “Roads” Scholarship. A dedicated and highly involved student, Farmer admits that many of the activities she was involved in, in high school, led her to choosing the University of Arkansas.
Growing up in the small town of Havana, AR, Molli Slavin’s goal was to one day attend the University of Arkansas. Now that her decision has been made to attend the university, she is elated to receive the 2011 “Roads” Scholarship from the Arkansas Alumni Association.
Stevie Brock, of Cabot, is a recipient of the Arkansas Alumni Association’s 2011 “Roads” Scholarship. Attending Cabot High School, Brock has always pushed herself towards academic success. Apart from keeping her grades up, she played volleyball for six years and maintained membership in National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, AP Academy, as well as many other school-oriented clubs and organizations.
Grateful to be recognized for her hard work, Amy McLarty has been chosen to receive a $2,500 “Roads” Scholarship by the Arkansas Alumni Association, for the 2011-2012 school year. Challenging herself through AP courses and college math classes in high school, McLarty, a Rogers native, maintained a balance between schoolwork, a part-time job and involvement in student council.
Kyler Verhelst has been chosen by the Arkansas Alumni Association to receive the 2011 “Roads” Scholarship. Attending Har-Ber High School in Springdale, Verhelst not only dedicated herself to studying hard, but to getting involved.
Katelyn Bartlett, of Fort Smith, has been chosen by the Arkansas Alumni Association to receive the 2011 “Roads” Scholarship. In high school, she strived to make good grades, as well as become a leader and active participant in various clubs and organizations.
The Arkansas Alumni Association has chosen to award Jacob Costello with a $2,500 “Roads” Scholarship. A resident of Wesley, Costello was home-schooled during his high school years. However, for the past three semesters, he has been enrolled at the University of Arkansas as a part-time concurrent student.
Totaling up the cost of tuition, books and housing, William Blevins is thankful to have received the 2011 “Roads” Scholarship from the Arkansas Alumni Association, in the amount of $2,500. Graduating from Mountain Home High School, Blevins was active in football, baseball, a member of National Honors Society, German club and the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Team.
