Totaling up the cost of tuition, books and housing, William Blevins is thankful to have received the 2011 “Roads” Scholarship from the Arkansas Alumni Association, in the amount of $2,500. Graduating from Mountain Home High School, Blevins was active in football, baseball, a member of National Honors Society, German club and the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Team.
Bryce Larry, of Mountain Home, is the latest recipient of the Arkansas Alumni Association’s “Roads” Scholarship. As a senior at Mountain Home High School, Larry dedicated himself to academics, sports and his church.
While many children dream of becoming astronauts and president of the United States, Evan Fusco knew from the age of 10 that he wanted to practice medicine and become a doctor. Now, working as an emergency room physician at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, MO, Fusco, who is a life member of the Arkansas Alumni Association, reflects on his time at the University of Arkansas and appreciates the experiences and people who helped to guide him at the beginning of his medical journey.
The Arkansas Alumni Association proudly announces its 2010 award recipients, all of whom personify the University of Arkansas’ tradition of excellence through service and leadership. All 10 honorees were recognized during the 66th annual Alumni Awards Celebration on Oct. 29 at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House.
