As I packed for the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) National Conference, I stuffed my cute pea coat into my suitcase in hopes of staying warm in Anchorage, Alaska. My flight offered views that looked like something out of a magazine; snow covered mountaintops were all I could see.

Dr. Gearhart will give a short presentation on the current state of the University along with future plans. He will be available afterward to address questions from the audience. He has identified Houston as one of the cities that the university is focusing on for recruiting prospective students. While in Houston, he will visit schools and alumni throughout the area.
