The Garland County Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association has chosen to award Omega Sanders with a $1,500 scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year. When beginning her college search, Sanders, a native of Hot Springs, looked at the University of Arkansas as the ideal place to spend the next four years.
Torry Farnell, of Hot Springs, has been awarded the 2011 Razorback Generations Scholarship by the Arkansas Alumni Association. In high school, Farnell focused much of her time on her studies, however, the stresses of school took its toll.
Nikki Munro, of Hot Springs, has been awarded the 2011 Garland County Chapter Scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year. Attending Lakeside High School, Munro spent much of her time taking AP courses, being a member of Beta Club, FCA, student council, National Honors Society, and participating in cheer and soccer.
Kayla Sligh, of Hot Springs, has been chosen to receive the 2011 Garland County Chapter Scholarship, in the amount of $1,500. An honors graduate of Lakeside High School, Sligh participated in the color guard and played clarinet for her school band.
Looking forward to following in the footsteps of his father, by attending the University of Arkansas, Clayton Oliver appreciates the $1,500 scholarship he was awarded by the Garland County Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association.

If anyone has ever been bitten by the travel bug, it would be Casey Clare. From the moment she stepped onto the University of Arkansas campus, her desire to study while traveling the world is one she expressed clearly to her peers and her professors.
One interesting part of these events is the connection residents are making not only with the University and the Alumni Association but with each other. Now when they see each other around town, they know they share a common bond of being a Razorback.
