The 2011 Membership Scholarship has been awarded to James Birke, of Fayetteville, by the Arkansas Alumni Association. Growing up, Birke displayed a fascination for nature. Consider national parks to be some of his favorite places to visit, he grew curious as to how they are designed and created.
The Arkansas Alumni Association has chosen to award Heather Wilkerson, of Fayetteville, with the 2011 Membership Scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year. For five years, Wilkerson operated her own business, one which she began when she was 18 years old.
Qusay Alfaori, of Fayetteville, is the latest recipient to receive the Arkansas Alumni Association’s 2011 Membership Scholarship. Currently a sophomore, Alfaori is an honors student who worked hard to maintain a high GPA his freshmen year at the University of Arkansas.
Not only a dedicated student, but a dedicated employee of the University of Arkansas as well, Phyllis Todd, of Fayetteville, has received to the 2011 Membership Scholarship from the Arkansas Alumni Association. An employee of the university for 22 years, Todd began taking courses in 2005.
Josh Baer, of Fayetteville, is the latest recipient to receive the 2011 Membership Scholarship from the Arkansas Alumni Association. Once an airline pilot, Baer’s decision to switch career paths led him to the University of Arkansas for a degree in mechanical engineering.
