The 2010 Faculty and Staff Membership Appreciation Day was a success! Faculty and staff who are members of the Arkansas Alumni Association are automatically part of our exclusive campus group "Workin' Like a Hog." To honor them we celebrated their support at "Mexico in May" here at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House on May 11, 2010. We were pleased to welcome more than 100 members who enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with us to unwind after a busy semester. Bordinos and Jose’s of Springdale catered the event and members were treated to the new 2010 "Workin' Like a Hog" t-shirt, which was voted on by faculty and staff at our faculty and staff event in December.

I joined, immediately upon graduating in 1970, so that I could stay connected with the journalism department, with my classmates and with my school. That membership, in turn, has served me splendidly over the last 38 years. I couldn't imagine that any experience would admirably substitute for my being a part of the Arkansas Alumni Association.
