As a member of the Arkansas Alumni Association, Xavier Emery has so many stories about his experience at the University of Arkansas he could write a book. Growing up in Le Mans, France, Emery dreamed of attending school in the United States. Since its founding in 1878, the Arkansas Alumni Association has stayed true to its mission—"to connect and serve the University of Arkansas family." As new alumni form each year, it is the goal of the Association to maintain contact with those who wish to remain close to the university and show their support through donations, volunteerism, membership and chapter involvement.

The Arkansas Alumni Association proudly became certified as a member of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce's GreeNWAy Initiative during a ribbon cutting at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House on July 13, 2010. The Alumni Association is the first University of Arkansas-affiliated organization to complete the certification process.
