AJ Shirey, an annual member, took an uncertain future and turned it into years of impressive accomplishments. Through her hard work, perseverance and a positive attitude, she has gone on to receive four degrees at the University of Arkansas. Acknowledging those who inspired and helped to shape her as a student on campus, she is grateful for the opportunities and people that have come into her life.
At 25 years old, Tina Fletcher has an impressive list of educational and professional accomplishments. From studying abroad and receiving a bachelor’s and master’s degree to interning with Sen. Blanche Lincoln’s office and working as an intern with the first lady Michelle Obama’s office, Fletcher is humbled by the experiences and opportunities she has been given at such a young age.

As the youngest of eight children, Jessica Gudino Willis, a Benton native, thought it would be impossible for her to afford the University of Arkansas. Luckily, a visit to the campus on Scholars Day changed her mind.
Since walking onto the University of Arkansas campus for the first time last year, Tori Pohlner knew that college life meant devoting long hours to studying. However, once learning about the multiple student organizations that the university offered, she decided that some of those hours would be dedicated towards campus involvement – a decision she wouldn’t have any other way.

Knowing that teaching was the career path she wanted to take, Rundle attributes her teaching successes to the connections she made while a student at the university.
Suzie Stephens is a woman who is constantly reinventing herself. Whether it is through her work, community involvement or worldly travels, Stephens continues to find ways to make her fast-paced lifestyle more fun and exciting.
Captain Andy Kelly describes the University of Arkansas in a few small words: “a big school on a small campus.” Growing up in Joplin, Missouri, Kelly researched various schools to attend; however, the University of Arkansas offered everything he wanted in a university. The scenery, the friendliness of the people, the rallying support of the Razorbacks and being offered a scholarship all appealed to Kelly, presenting him with an opportunity he just couldn’t pass up.
Living in Kansas City, Phil Schoettlin does not let the distance between Fayetteville and Missouri keep him from staying connected with the University of Arkansas. Serving as president of the Arkansas Alumni Association’s Greater Kansas City Chapter and as a member of the Kappa Sigma XI Corporation and XI Alumni Association, Schoettlin enjoys the time he spends interacting with students and alumni.
