The Arkansas Alumni Association strives to provide quality service and therefore we are constantly evaluating our current services and programs as well as looking for new ideas to implement. Our recent evaluation has resulted in the conclusion that our e-mail forwarding service provider, which also provided many other services tied to e-communications, is no longer equipped to fit the needs of our members, alumni and friends.

Only a few weeks into the planning process, staff members have come together to create a program that will help to engage alumni who express an interest in community service.

University of Arkansas Athletics To Host Summer Camps

The Dallas Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association was named the 2010 recipient of the Mace Award in recognition of its signature event - the Dallas Chapter Banquet. The award was presented during the 2011 chapter banquet on April 12. As a Mace Award recipient, the chapter’s name was inscribed on the base, and the chapter was awarded a $500 stipend to be used on a special event for the next fiscal year.

Dr. Gearhart will give a short presentation on the current state of the University along with future plans. He will be available afterward to address questions from the audience. He has identified Houston as one of the cities that the university is focusing on for recruiting prospective students. While in Houston, he will visit schools and alumni throughout the area.

Springdale native Regina Hopper B.A.'81, J.D. '85 will return to the University of Arkansas campus on Feb. 28-March1 as the Arkansas Alumni Association's 2011 Johnson Fellow. Hopper, who resides in Alexandria, Va., is president and CEO of America's Natural Gas Alliance, which is dedicated to increasing appreciation of the environmental, economic and national security benefits of clean, abundant and affordable North American natural gas.
