The Arkansas Alumni Association strives to provide quality service and therefore we are constantly evaluating our current services and programs as well as looking for new ideas to implement. Our recent evaluation has resulted in the conclusion that our e-mail forwarding service provider, which also provided many other services tied to e-communications, is no longer equipped to fit the needs of our members, alumni and friends.

University of Arkansas graduating seniors Billy Fleming of Fort Smith and Kristin A. Watson of Benton were recognized with the 2011 Senior Honor Citation during the Arkansas Alumni Association Board of Directors luncheon on May 13. The award recognizes a senior man and woman who exhibit outstanding academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership. Students were required to be a member of the graduating class of 2011 (finishing degree requirements in August or December 2010 or May 2011.) The citation includes a personal memento, a $500 cash award, life membership in the Arkansas Alumni Association as well as permanent recognition on the student Honor Wall at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House.
In connection with the Arkansas Alumni Association’s volunteer engagement program, the Association is pleased to announce the creation of “Helpin’ Like a Hog.” Only a few weeks into the planning process, staff members have come together to create a program that will help to engage alumni who express an interest in community service.
The Arkansas Alumni Association is pleased to reveal the Workin’ Like A Hog t-shirt for 2011. Workin’ Like a Hog is a special campus group for faculty and staff who are members of the Arkansas Alumni Association. Members of the group receive all of the benefits of membership in the Arkansas Alumni Association. The Workin’ Like A Hog t-shirt by Houndstooth and the special Workin’ Like a Hog events are the most visible benefits of the group.
