The University of Arkansas said Wednesday that Eli Jones, the dean of Louisiana State University’s E.J. Ourso College of Business, will become dean of the Sam M. Walton College of Business, effective July 1.

I understand that some wonder why I always end my letters with “A Luta Continuum.” Understanding the translation from Latin to English, most of us and especially our current students fully understand exactly why I close each letter with “The Struggle Continues.”
The Mid-South Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association was recently reorganized and in celebration the chapter co-hosted a Forever Arkansas reception with the Association on February 29, 2012.
The weekend of March 3-4 saw a unique reunion on the Razorback campus of former Razorback band alumni from the 1950s.
The Dallas Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association will host University of Arkansas Chancellor G. David Gearhart, on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Bent Tree Country Club, for the annual Dallas Chapter Banquet. Proceeds from this event support the Dallas Chapter scholarship fund benefitting University of Arkansas students from North Texas.
Your support and contributions over the past year to our Dallas Chapter Banquet have helped the Dallas Chapter award scholarships to DFW students attending the University of Arkansas. We are pleased to announce the 2011 freshman class recipients.
