Welcome to the Arkansas Alumni Association Scholarship page! My name is Alie Davila and I am a recipient of the Board of Directors Scholarship. Today marks my first day as the new blog host for scholarship news and updates. I am very excited about this new opportunity and look forward to what the future of this blog holds.

Before I begin to write about the U of A’s scholarship recipients, I would like to introduce myself. I am a sophomore at the University of Arkansas from Lee’s Summit, Missouri. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism and advertising and public relations along with a minor in recreation and sports management. I hold the honor of being a member of the Golden Key Society and a student on the Dean’s List as well as the Chancellor’s List. I enjoy being involved on campus in clubs and organizations such as the Advertising Club, University of Arkansas Television (UATV), Student Mobilization (StuMo), intramural flag football and of course, the Arkansas Student Alumni Association. I am also very proud to call myself an Arkansas Alpha Pi Beta Phi. I am Pi Phi’s Assistant of Sisterhood Events and one of seven students that directed the Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Nu and the Associated Student Government’s 7th Annual 5K. The event recently raised $48,000 for children’s literacy.

Through this blog, I hope to bring you interesting, informative and the most up-to-date news involving scholarship recipients. I would appreciate any feedback on what you hope to learn about the Alumni Association’s scholarship recipients. GO HOGS!
